Odd Socks is my first novel and I'm very proud of it. I've always loved writing and generally being creative. During my life I've written lots of songs, poetry and short stories and I was singer/frontman in a band called Cinemawave.

I'm originally from Hartlepool and moved to London when I was 18 years old. I now live in Hertfordshire with my beautiful wife, son and daughter.

My Father-in-Law was the inspiration behind Odd Socks. He used to moan (and still does) about his socks going missing. This got me thinking 'what happens if a pair of socks had emotions and actually had feelings for one another?' Over the course of the next 12 months, this magical world began to formulate in my mind. Every day, on the way to work, I would write on my smartphone during my 40 minute commute into London. It was addictive. I couldn't stop thinking about the characters and plot - writing a book is even better than reading one! I'm currently writing Odd Socks 2 which I hope to release in 2019.

In addition to being with my family, writing stories, and my career in the legal sector, I enjoy making and performing music (which you can sample on this website), running, and volunteering. I'm a trustee of two fantastic charities and I'm hugely passionate about inclusion and social mobility.

I'm very grateful to the team at Blossom Spring Publishing for showing faith in me and publishing my first book - thank you also to Nicola Spencer for her superb illustrations - I hope you enjoy Odd Socks!
